I was looking over eShop reviews on Youtube and I saw a comment on an Aeternoblade review about a game called Bloody Vampire.

I'd never heard of it before but it looks like the kind of game I could really enjoy (I've got a weird thing for bump combat systems). I'd never heard of the game before nor seen it in the eShop until I knew to look for it. I know there are a bunch of titles that are widely agreed on as being bests of the eShop (Steamworld Dig, Cave Story, Yumi's Odd Odyssey, Tappingo, Rage of the Gladiator, etc.) but has anyone else found any little gems like Bloody Vampire that people don't often seem to talk about?. Cube Tactics- fun RTS/terrain-claiming game. Most similar in style to Cubemen.

Online multiplayer and a story mode. $4.99 and I enjoy it enough. Shifting World. Puzzle-platformer that is based off the 'Shift' flash game series developed by ArmorGames (like this one). $7.99 and full retail Club Nintendo points. Castle Clout 3D- Much like the Crush the Castle flash game (that game before AND did it far better than Angry Birds).

You get the idea based off those two examples. Steady framerate with parallax backgrounds. $2.99. AiRace Speed- $4.99 (IIRC) for a (mostly) 60 FPS trial racing game in future jets. Very fun. Dress to Play: Magic Bubbles- $3.99 for a family-friendly, Tetris/Mean Bean Machine puzzle hybrid.

Surprisingly fun beneath its chibi exterior. SpeedX 3D Hyper Edition- fixes the framerate issues of the previous version, knocks a dollar off (to $2.99), and reduces it to one vital mode. A fun test of endurance in a tube-plane-cylinder-plane-repeat 'infinite racer' with obstacles and 5 tracks of music. Strafe design. escapeVEKTOR- Tron meets PacMan. Need I say more? ($7.99, if not $4.99- it has been a while since I saw the price).

Monster Shooter- Top-down wave survival game for $3.99. RPG elements. If you like(d) Dracula: Undead Awakening on DSiWare (another great for a dollar more), then you'll love this, too.

Wakedas- $2.99 for a rather tough logic puzzler. 3D Galaxy Force II- top-notch 3D in a '3D' arcade flyer from Sega.

(I don't recall the price). 3D Classics Xevious- $4.99 for a vertical scrolling shooter. Best 3D effects in the 3D Classics series from Nintendo, outside of. 3D Classics Excitebike- the original (right?) trial bike game. The 3D remake has some REALLY cool effects, stretching the playing field and audience back and more into view as you slide up.

Edge- tough to explain. Puzzle/platform/reaction game thing with cool music and a good price ($1.99, IIRC). Bike Rider DX- Infinite bike-riding platformer with some pretty decent music and a 'World Tour' campaign. Rising Board 3D- the first 60 FPS game on 3DS.

3D infinite surfer. Not bad, and $1.99Virtual console:. Donkey Kong (Gameboy)- more features than the original, including backflips, varied scenery, a full story mode, and more. Quarth- vertical puzzle shoot 'em up. I used to feel the same way, however after a full playthrough of WL3 my opinion completely changed.

WL3 is a completely different style of game. It's like a giant metroid-style game on the gameboy, with perhaps even more depth than the GB metroid itself. Tons of exploration, abilities, and items that unlock new paths and secrets. Yes, you are invincible, but the difficulty comes from figuring out how to use enemies, obstacles, and new abilities to progress through the game. It's a wonderfully brilliant and original game.
