Little do they know that they share a traumatic past together. She has a trauma of basements but doesn't know why. Later on we find out that Cha Do Ha's father would abuse her if Do Ha didn't listen to him. One day, the violent personality was born from Do Ha's abusive father. Shin Se-gi is the violent personality that was born to protect the little girl. The backstory is so heartwrenching and sad to watch.

Especially for those who can relate to having an abusive father. This drama was sad but I also really loved it because of how in depth the storyline was. It's a great drama!6. Queen In Hyun's Man. This is a Time-Travel, rom-com about an unknown actress who lands her first big role and a guy who gets sent to modern day Seoul with the help of a talisman that protects him when in danger. These two meet and end up falling in love. But it's not easily loving someone from the past when you never know when they will leave.

There are some scenes that tugged at my heartstrings like when she thought he died and cried her eyes out in a hospital bed, when the two were about to be together again but the talisman turned completely black and he was sent back to his time. Lastly, when she forgets about him after he burns the talisman but soon remembers him.

Pinocchio Kdrama

As she remembered him, her heart shattered and so did mine. I cried so much in the last scene when these two finally got back together through a phone call this time.

It is such an emotional drama but it left such a deep impression on me.5. I'm sure this drama is in many others list for this topic.

It's a fantasy, rom-com about a Goblin who is looking for his Goblin bride and about a Grim Reaper who doesn't remember his past life. After Goblin finally finds his goblin bride after 939 years, they fall for each other and now that he has someone he loves and doesn't want to turn to ash, he's scared. So as the drama progresses we also find out the sad past of the Grim Reaper too. The girl he falls for in present day is the same woman he orders his people to kill in his past life. He was a king in his past life and Sunny was his Queen in the past. They share a tragic fate that brings tears when you just think about it. Later Goblin ends up able to pull out his sword and he finally vanishes, this scene hurt so much to watch.

Eun Tak crying just broke my heart to pieces, even Grim Reaper was sad. It was an emotional scene. Then in the very last episode we see Eun Tak die after Goblin returns and they get married. This may have been the saddest scene from the whole drama. I hated seeing Goblin so broken inside. Them saying goodbye to each other just made me cry so much and thinking of the fact that Goblin had to wait until Eun Tak was reborn again for them to be together again is really sad. Also Sunny and Grim Reaper leaving in the last episode was really sad too.

This whole drama was so sad but also funny and cute. It was just a great drama!4.

Fated to Love You. A rom-com about Lee Gun and Mi Young. This is a love story about these two strangers who end up having a one night stand and Mi Young gets pregnant. After Lee Gun finds out she's pregnant, he wants to take responsibility and they get married.

These two get married without love and are complete strangers. They fall more in love as they start to get to know each other and their baby that they named 'poop' brings them even closer. One day they get into an argument and as Mi Young is crossing the street while calling out to Lee Gun, a car hits Mi Young. She is rushed to a hospital and Lee Gun has to make a choice to either save Poop or save Mi Young and he of course saves Mi Young, since the chance of poop living anyway is slim.

This scene was so heartbreaking. And the episodes to come after are still sad. Their relationship broke apart and they divorced after losing the baby.

But a couple years after they meet again and reconcile because they can't forget each other. The ending was absolute perfection, they get remarried and end up with twins. I don't know if this drama would've been as emotional if it were a different cast, the acting was just so on point.3. This drama is about In Ha who has Pinocchio syndrome, which means she hiccups when she lies and her dream is to become a reporter. Dal Po had a rough past because of reporters, the one main reporter being In Ha's mother who he hates because he ruined his family.

The story is kind of hard to explain but long story short is Dal Po wants revenge on In Ha's mom because of the trouble she brought to his family. Toxic crusaders comic book. To get revenge he wants to become a reporter. The reason this drama was so sad was of the backstory and the brothers.

Dal Po has an older brother and his brother is the only one left that lived in his family. Except his brother thought that Dal Po died with his mother but little does he know that he survived. I got emotional from beginning to end. I cried right from episode 1 because they show the backstory of how Dal Po's dad died in an explosion (he's a firefighter) and it's so sad to see.

The most emotional scene from the drama is when the brothers reunite. Like Dal Po, his brother wanted revenge too, but his revenge went too far and ended up killing someone by leaving them in a sewer in the middle of nowhere. So after their reunion, it was cut short and he went to jail. I cried so much from this drama but it's my favorite drama!2. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. I'm sure everyone has heard of this sad drama.

Well it's a Time-Travel, melodrama with some romance. Hae Soo gets sent to the past and meets a group of Princes. She grows attached to all of them and then tragedy strikes. This drama starts off pretty fun and happy but soon goes sour.

When the Princes try to fight for the thrown, one after another dies. It gets really sad once we see the happy Prince that we love so much die. He watches as his wife dies and asks Wang So (the male lead) to kill him. This is what started it all. It was so sad, plus the emotional soundtrack makes you cry even more. Then the head lady who is like a mother figure to Hae Soo, sacrifices herself for Hae Soo. Other deaths that happened was another Princes wife kills herself and the 2nd male lead.

Lastly, the saddest death for me was Cha Ryung (I don't remember her name). This is Hae Soo's 'sister', when Wang So takes the thrown later on he finds out that she was helping to kill the king. So Wang So ordered the death of her, she was beat to death with sticks. It hurt to watch and Hae Soo's reaction afterward made it so much worse. Even the very last scene made me cry.

When we see Hae Soo and Wang So look so happy yet, that's not the reality.1.

1. 49 Days

A melodrama about a girl who ends up in a coma after a car accident. She has one chance to live and that is she has to gather 3 genuine tears in 49 Days from people who aren't blood related to her. She possesses the body of a girl who shares a connection with her but doesn't know the connection. First off guys, this drama made me cry the most I've ever cried for any drama and my eyes hurt so much after I finished it. As she is gathering her tears, she goes through a lot of heartache and realizes that she didn't have many people who cared for her and that some of her so called friends weren't her friends. Her 'friend' was even dating her fiance behind her back which she finds out right before getting into an accident. This is where the drama starts. The sadness hits when we find out how sad the 2 female leads lives really are. One thinks she had the perfect life and perfect relationship but in reality she didn't have many real friends and not many people cared about her. And the girl that gets possessed has no family, her boyfriend died and she lives life thinking she's better off not living. I got so emotionally attached to these two and their stories. The character develop for both is great too. Now for the rough stuff. After gathering her 3 genuine tears, she is able to wake up from her coma but finds out she will die anyway in a few days. So she finds the girl she possessed and thanks her, it's a sad parting. After she dies, we find out that the girls connection was sisterhood. They were long lost sisters. Before she died she tells her that she had a little sister who she lost. It's really a beautiful ending. I was crying bittersweet tears. I was sad for the unfortunate death of the female lead but I was happy that the sister found her family and that she has a purpose to live now. I highly recommend this drama but please prepare tissues because you'll definitely need them.
